Right, so I believe my last entry was abut my first day of work... which was about three and a half weeks ago, lol. Since then I've just mainly been working (five days a week, around thirty-fourty hours!) and random stuff. I'll just fill you in on whatever I think of as I write, lol.

Work has been quite good. I've gotten one paycheck so far ($230 which I spent on oodles of clothes!) and that was only for one week, so I'm quite looking forward to recieving my nexy paycheck (due on Thursday) since I should have around $400 is my estimation is correct.

I normally work during the day, when most other employees are at school. I open the theatre at noon and work concessions by myself until around 5:30 or 6:00. It's normally very slow during the weekdays, so I just drink free slushies and eat free popcorn all day while talking to whoever happens to be working box. I really can't complain getting paid to do nothing all day. :) On Saturdays though, I work from 5:30 til close, which is normally about 1:30. Looong nights, mostly jam packed. Never alone of course though.

I have met some pretty cool people. There is this one boy who I am quite fond of, Drew, and he's sooo sweet. Since my first night, if I ever work with him he'll always try and go on break with me so he can take me somewhere to get something to eat. And if we can't go on break together, he'll go first so he can bring me back something so I can eat on my break. :) Plus, he's like, the best looking guy there. I was really lucky when I first started though, since he happened to be working my first night, I decided to shadow him (since he was the cutest) and then my last day of training Ruth (the manager) told me to work with him so I was very happy. Since then we've had some interesting moments. I discovered he actually had the DK Rap (the intro song from the DK 64 game) on his iPod! We actually started singing it one night, lol. And, he's born the same month I am. And his real name's not actually Drew, but Jacob, lol. He's really nice to me though, if I ever see him on my way out or something, he'll always say hi to me.

There are some other people that I'm cool with. There's Hannah, Katie, Amberly, Felcia, Anthony, Bruce, Aaron, Will, and Sam. Now, Will and Sam are notorious for being very hyper. They're best friends, and always hang out together. I actually saw them at the mall a few days ago (while spending my first paycheck) and they were just walking through the mall with their "ghetto blaster" (which is just some old boombox they bought and carry on their shoulder) and they were playing "Rapper's Delight" and it was sooo funny. Of course, the rent-a-cop made them stop, but it was still great. They actually brought it to work the other night (they had the night off, but decided to come back and have a little fun) and they set it up outside, where people buy their tickets, and they were break dancing! People would come and and go, "Do you know you have guys break dancing outside?" and we'd say, "Yeah, they work here." So funny! THey actually managed to get themselves into a bit of an incident on a night I wasn't there. Apparently, they were supposed to be cleaning some back room, and they were using some metal cleaner/shiner stuff, and they accidentally left the door closed. Well they ended up getting really high and were totally useless the rest of the night. The supervior had to keep them locked in the stock room, ha ha. According to them, all they remember is waking up in bed the next day, lol.

But the people I work with (most of them anyway) are so cool. There was a Monday recently where it was a holiday, so the kids were out of school, and lots of people were working with me, but there was an hour or two where it was just dead, so everyone started playing this hopping game on the tiles. You had to jump from one set of brown tiles to another without hitting the white tiles, which were considered lava. It was so funny seeing them hop all over the lobby like little kids! "Oh no! I stepped in lava!" Ha ha! And I was sitting on a couch in the middle of the lobby, one foot touching the ground which happened to be a white tile (I wasn't into hopping aorund with everyone else, it was too funny to just watch) and Sam runs over to me with a broom he was pretending was a paddle, and he was like, "Oh no, you're in lava! Get on my boat and I'll save you!" And I was like, "Wouldn't your boat melt in the lava?" And he was like, "... No, it's a super special awesome boat that resists lava!" But when no one would get on his invisible boat, he decided a box would work better, so he ran and got one and stood up in it, "paddle" in hand trying to scoot himself across the lobby. Then another guy came up behind him and started pushing the box and Sam fell into it, so he just sat down inside it and hung on whiel the guy whizzed him around the lobby. Then one of the supervisors came in, and Sam was like, "Get in the boat! We'll push you around! You can't touch the lava!" But the supervisor refused and instead made Sam throw the box away. Which was still a bit funny. See, the dumpsters are behind the theatre, and it's a bit of a walk, so Sam started pretending like he was scared to go alone and says, "Can't Jerry come with me? If I go alone I might get raped!" So off they went, and when they returned we asked Jerry is they did get raped and he says, "Sam did, I just watched." I work with some slightly sick people, lol.

Now, of course there are some rotten apples in the bunch. Namely two, Brandon and Jennifer (or as well call her when she's not around, "Carmike Slut"). Now, when I first started working, people told me how they disliked Brandon, so I was a bit weary the first time I had to work with him. We ended up working a whole day together, and we talked a lot and I had no problem at all with him and didn't understand why everyone else hated him. Then one night, we're working together, and I have some lady customer, and I run to get her drinks, and he walks up to her and tells her I am a horrible server. For no reason! Then of course, they lady really didn't like me after that. (Just to set the record straight, I kick ass at my job.) So I called him a douchebag and he got all pissy with me. Psht. Yeah, since them, I've tried to avoid him as much as possible. It was a little funny, because the same night, I needed to open up a box, and he gave me this switchblade out of his pocket to use, and my first reaction was to walk over to the cop (who works at the theatre on weekends) and tell him that Brandon was carrying a concealed weapon on his person. I told Drew about my idea, and he actually encouraged it, as did Anthony. They were like, "Do it, and get him fired! Everyone will love you!" In the end I made Anthony take back the knife to Brandon for me. And speaking of getting him fired, I almost came close to it accidentally one afternoon. I was up in the managers office waiting to get my register, and I was talking to Ruth and I mentioned to her what Brandon had said to my customer, and she got real serious and asked, "Did it change the customers feelings toward you"? And I was like, "Well yeah." And she told me if he ever does anything like that again to tell her right away. I'm really hoping he does do it, just so I can get his ass in trouble. Not that I'm a tattle tail by any means, but NO ONE likes him (not even Ruth) so I don't think it'd really be tattle tailing so much as pleasing people by seeing him get in trouble.

And this other girl, Jennifer. She's "The New Girl" since she started working there after I did (but got a nametag first!) but people just call her The Carmike Slut. No one likes her either (including Ruth) and she's only worked there a total of like, 4 days. I looked at the schedules, and she worked one day last week, and not at all the week. Something tells me she won't be lasting very long here. She's done so much crap already. Now, I've only talked to her for about 5 minutes, but that was more than enough. She is 16, and has a boyfriend right. And, she smokes a pack and a half a day (gross!) and thinks it's weird no one else does. She's broken quite a few rules already. 1) When we go on break, we have to take off our vests and bow ties, so people know we're not working, that way we're allowed to hang around the lobby or watch part of a movie. Jennifer never takes off her uniform. 2) When we are in uniform, NO PDA allowed. She stays in her uniform on break, meets her boyfriend right outside the box office where people buy their tickets, and basically humps him right there on the sidewalk. Disgusting. 3) Breaks are 30-35 minutes. She takes no less than 45. 4) No smoke breaks while on the clock. Psht, like she would follow that rule. And remember how she has a boyfriend? Well as soon as she's back inside, she's all over Brandon (other kid nobody likes) and flirts with him incesantly. Ruth actually told me about it one day while I was getting my register. We're supposed to have some rolls of coins in our register, which makes it easier to count and such, but all the coins in my register were loose and it took me AGES to count it all. When I asked Ruth what happened to all the rolls, she told me about how Jennifer was flirting with Brandon and undid them all. Apparenltly Ruth really didn't like that and chewed her out, and of course little miss Jennifer denied it. Slut. Actually today we were just talking about her, and she just happened to show up right then. She wasn't scheduled this week so were we're really hoping she was coming in to quit. We waited for her to leave, and then called up Ruth and we were like, "Did she quit?!" But sadly she just came to pick up her paycheck. Which must have only been about $50, ha ha.

Now today was one of the slowest days at work. Not as in time pasisng slow, but as in NO ONE was there! For the first hour there were more employees than customers, and there were only 3 employees, lol. So it's one of those days I get paid for haning around chatting, lol. I was talking to Amberly who was working box office, and we were just talking about different people at work and stuff, and she mentioned how she thought Drew and I would make a cute couple. Out of nowhere really, lol. Made me feel nice that someone thought we actually could work. I just have to see if he likes me or not. I can't really tell quite yet... We'll see though!

AND! Since I started work, I haven't really had colours in my hair. I had a bit of left over faded pink behind my right ear, but you could only see it if I wore my hair up, which I only do half the time. So last night, I jsut decided to go for it, and colour my hair again. There was nothing about hair colour in the handbook, so I hoped there wouldn't be too much of a problem with it. To be safe, I only did it underneath my hair. A bit behind each ear and some bits close to my neck. You can see it with my hair down just fine and everything, as well as with my hair up, but it doesn't stand out just too much. It actually looks really cool in my opinion. And Ruth said she actually liked it, so there seems to be no problem at all with me colouring my hair, which makes me verrrrry happy! :D

Other ranodm news bits: I have an orthodontist appointment tomoz, so I have the day off work. I'm going up here because my reatiner doesn't fit anymore, and one of my teeth is a bit out of place and I want to see if I can get those invisible things to fix it a bit.

I have a dermatologist appointment next week I think... Sometime soon anway, lol. Damn acne!

I'm thinking about going to Halloween Horror Nights, which would mean I fly home sometime in middle October, on a Thursday, stay at my appartment for the weekend, go to HHN, possibly with a friend, and then fly back here to TN on Sunday to finish working and then fly home for good after Halloween but before my mom's birthday, which is the 7th of November. Dunno about it all yet though. I have to see my next paycheck and work things out, and see if I can find someone to go with.

I might take some pictures of my new clothes (they are seriously awesome) and upload them later. Dunno though. I might be too lazy, lol. :P
