I went out today with my grandmother. Man, I wish I could go out by myself, or better yet have friends to go out with. But anyways, we went to see You Don't Mess With The Zohan. It wasn't a funny as I was expecting, and a lot more gross. I did laugh, but it wasn't a movie I wanted to see with my grandmother.
I don't think I'd buy it on DVD or anything. *Shrugs* After the movie we went to this used bookstore, because I mentioned I needed a new book. I knew before we went into this place they weren't gonna have what I was looking for, and I was right. I personally hate used stuff anyway. Called me spoiled or whatever, but I just like knowing I'm the only person that's owned something. So of course, they didn't have any Gossip Girl books (big shocker there huh?). So then my grandmother took me to Barnes & Noble, which was friggin' huge. Finally found the right section, and then had to find the right book. I just finished the Gossip Girl Prequel a couple weeks ago. It's the first book I've read out of the series. I know it's one of the last ones to come out, but I figured I should start with a prequel, lol. So now I was looking for the next book, or the first one if you will. And I found two books titled Gossip Girl, but with different covers, which totally confused me. Then I realised one cover was a picture of the cast from the TV show, and the other was the original cover. I chose the original of course. So now I have my book and I'm happy. I haven't started reading it yet, but I will once I finish l8r g8r, which I just started reading yesterday, but shouldn't take too long to finish. Simple books, but they make me laugh out loud so I like them.
At some point today we did go out to eat. We went to a restaurant I got to somewhat often at home, but the food was a bit different. Not as good. Don't think I'll be eating there again.
Oh! Yeah, so my grandma and I are in the car going somewhere, right? And I have my iPod playing through the radio and I'm playing Panic At The Disco (I wish they still had the exclamtion point in their name). I played about three songs and I was just telling my grandma some random fact about them, and she goes, "Do you think they're any good?" in a tone that clearly said she thought they were rubbish. I'm like, "Yeah! They're awesome!" Apparently she just thinks it's all a big mess of noise. But that's grandma's for you.
Since the warmer weather has arrived, just about everyone I know is complaining about how it is. My friends from England won't shut up about how it's boiling outside and whatnot. I've been to England in the summer. It's not that hot. I will admit, there were a few days where it was really hot, but most days I was in a jacket. Ok, now in Florida, THAT'S hot. You can't step foot outside without sweat pouring down your face. Wear jeans and you're miserable. Since I've been here in Tennessee I've noticed a delightful change in temperate. It's slightly cooler here, which is nice. But yet my grandmother won't stop complaining about how she doesn't like to go outside during midday beause t's simply too hot. I love it! Perfect weather I tell you. I feel like telling everyone, "Go to Florida, or Arizona, or some place that's actually hot, and see if you survive. One of my friends from England came to visit me in February and March last year. At that time of the year it's pretty cold in England, sometimes snowing. But in Florida, it may as well be summer. Everytime he stepped foot outside my apartment his face would go red, and I was afraid he was going to pass out or something. And that's FEBRUARY!
Of course in all fairness I couldn't handle their cold weather. I was there in summer and I was freezing and shivering pretty much daily. I think I might die in their winter. But I don't complain about how cold it gets where I live, because I know it's NOT cold.
Yeah, that's my rant.
