I Never Was One For Religon... | melody08's Blog

But I'm going to ask, if you're reading this and you believe in prayer, please pray for my mom. I've been having a horrible feeling for days now, but I figured it was just because I missed her so much, I was naturally worried. My mom was sitting at the computer on Friday. The chair broke and she hit her eye on the corner of the desk. She was unconcious until Saturday. She thought the swelling of her eye was no big deal, she iced it. But when she went to her regular doctor she sees every few months, he said she has some broken bones in her face (and hand and wrist) and may have some internal bleeding in her head. He sent her to the ER this morning. I called her this afternoon because it was my day off and I wanted to talk to her. She was in the waiting room and told me what happened. I dunno how long she'd been waiting there, but I made her get a ride back home and get an ambulance. Apparently when she got home and the neighbours saw her they called the ambulance for her, which doesn't make me feel any better. But she's at the hospital now and as of last I heard they're taking care of her. She told me she might need to have part of her face reconstructed. I've been crying pretty much all day. I wanted to go home so badly. If I could drive I would've been in that car half way to Florida by now. Just after her strokes in her brain before, I just worry, and I want her to be ok. I just really wanna go home and hug her. ***UPDATE*** Less than 5 minutes after I posted this my mom called me. She's waiting on a cab to take her home from the hospital. Apparently there were some complications with jackass doctors. Since my mom's been on heavy-duty painkillers (morphine, oxycontin, ect...) for a good 10 years now (because of the strokes) the doctors at the hosptial all think she's a drugs addict so they wouldn't give her anything for the pain. But she made it out alive. She got a contusion on the orbital bone around her eye, no bleeding, and her hand should be ok. They wanted to put it in a splint, but since they were all being dickheads she told them to shove it up their asses. That's my mom. :) But she's gonna call back in a few minutes when the cab gets there so in case the creepy cab driver tries to mess with her she'll be on the phone with me. I am so relieved and I can breathe now. I was prepared for the worst, but glad I got the best. I just can't wait until I get home for her birthday in less than 2 months. 2 months and everything will be ok again. Thanks to everyone who sent their wishes and prayers (in the less than 30 minutes this was up). It must have helped and I'm extremely grateful. This Blog Entry's Comment Board (8 comments)
